Police were called to a Swansea Valley pub due to an alleged breach of coronavirus lockdown rules.
Pubs are currently only allowed to open outdoors in Wales and a number did just that in Swansea this week, following the lifting of some restrictions from Monday, July 13.
South Wales Police said they went to the Three Compasses pub in Hebron Road, Clydach, on Monday evening, following reports of a potential breach of the rules.
A South Wales Police spokesman said of Monday’s call out: “We were called to reports of a possible Covid-19 legislation breach at the Compass Inn, Clydach, at 6pm on Monday night.”
"A number of people left the premises upon attendance of the police and the matter has been reported to the licensing department”.
The business said it had done nothing wrong, and continued to trade.
A spokesman for the pub said: “Police arrived and did a check, but we are still open and still operating.
“There has been no breach. If there had been we would have been closed”.
Police had also been called to the pub on the afternoon of May 9, following a report of suspected breach of Covid-19 legislation at that time, but no breach was found.
Members of the licensing department are believed to have visited the business on Tuesday, July 14, as part of a follow-up investigation to Monday's alleged incident.
Pubs are being told by the Welsh Government to prepare to open indoors from August 3.
This is only if coronavirus cases continue to fall.
