Police called after woman is struck by bus near Victoria Centre

Police attended a crash involving a woman and a bus in Nottingham city centre.

The incident happened around 3pm on Tuesday, April 2, near to the Victoria Centre , on Upper Parliament Street.           

Nottinghamshire police confirmed a woman was taken to hospital by an ambulance around 3.10pm, but could not say the exact location of where the incident took place.

Her injuries are not thought to be life altering or life threatening.            

Nottingham City Transport (NCT) buses tweeted to say there were delays to routes in the area due to the incident.

It said: "Due to a police incident on Parliament St, there are delays to Blue, Lilac, Red & Pathfinder services at present.            

"Apologies for any inconvenience caused."

The bus operator also tweeted: "Apologies, Blue 42 from St Anns at 15:08 and City at 15:25 are unable to operate due to an RTC."
