Police have been called to a canal after receiving reports that a boat had capsized in Long Eaton.
The incident was reported to officers just after 1.30pm on Saturday, January 16.
A spokeswoman for Derbyshire Constabulary said the force was informed a 'little' boat had capsized in Tamworth Road, Long Eaton.
She said that while the force had not yet attended "an officer has been assigned to have a look".
She added: "We do not know anything more ourselves."
The fire service is not in attendance, police have confirmed.
