The body of a man has been found in a Tranmere house, police said.
Emergency services were called to Allerton Road at about 5pm on Wednesday.
A huge emergency presence arrived on the scene as police, the North West Ambulance Service and forensic officers attended.
The ECHO understands a man in his 40s sadly died at the property.
The incident is being treated as a sudden, non-suspicious death which has been referred to the coroner.
Pictures from Allerton Road showed forensic officers working at the scene.
Emergency vehicles were also packed onto the narrow road.
