Police called after group of young boys spotted firing BB guns at cars in Morley

Police were called after reports that a group of young boys were firing fake BB Guns at cars in Leeds.

West Yorkshire Police received a call at 2.29pm yesterday, July 6, that four boys described as being aged between nine to 11 were pointing the fake guns at passing cars in Commercial Street in Morley.

Officers were sent to the scene but the boys could not be located.

Other angry residents on social media reported that the boys had shot at their dog and elderly residents trying to get inside shops.

One resident who posted in a public Facebook group said: "To the parents of three young boys that were about 8/9 with fake guns outside Home Bargains may need to have a word with them.

"Shooting the guns at my five month old staffy winding him up to the point he was shaking, then shooting at elderly people walking through the tunnel to get to B&M scaring them.

"It's an absolute joke. Would have been another story if my dog got off the lead and hurt them from being scared."
