Police called to goose trapped in a taxi after smashing through window

Police officers were called to a very bizarre job after a goose smashed through a taxi's windscreen and became trapped inside the car.

Officers from Radford received the call over the radio explaining that a goose had flown into the taxi on Monday, September 30.

The stray bird was taken to the vets after being found having a gander around the inside of the vehicle while surrounded by shattered glass.

Radford Road Police said: "When a colleague asked if a call had been received about a goose flying into a taxi over the radio, we had to see it to believe it.

"The goose was taken to the vets and unfortunately the taxi driver had to repair the damage.

"We think he may be trying to find his way to the Goose Fair."
