Police bust suspected drug den ruining flat viewing

Police busted a suspected drug den, ruining a flat viewing while uncovering crack and heroin.

A hopeful tenant had been looking at a new home in Bagilllt, Flintshire, North Wales, when officers burst into the property next door.

One officer, described as a "mountain" smashed through a "home-made barricade" at the flat - terrifying the woman viewing the other flat.

Inside police found Class A drugs and thousands of pounds in cash, later arresting three men from Merseyside and a man from North Wales.

The crime fighting team apologised to the woman who was viewing the flat and went on to compliment the size of the bathrooms, North Wales Live reports.

A North Wales police spokesman said: "Yesterday officers conducted a search warrant at an address and recovered several thousand pounds worth of crack and heroin and several thousand pounds cash.

"Three males from Merseyside and a local man were arrested and the investigation continues.

"We will update the result when we have it. The home-made barricade the men decided to use to stop us gaining entry to the property was little match for the officer with the battering ram who we fondly describe as a giant mountain man.

"To the lady who was viewing the next address, we’re sorry we scared you. They have good sized bathrooms though don’t they?"
