A huge cannabis factory has been discovered in Cardiff by engineers investigating "several" unexplained power cuts.
Western Power Distribution said they had been made aware of a number of power cuts in the Grangetown area in recent months, but they were unable to find any fault on the network.
But after further investigation, workers from the electricity company discovered a cannabis factory worth around £800,000.
They informed South Wales Police who later raided premises on Ferry Road at around 9am on Thursday, January 28.
Police confirmed they recovered 100 plants from the premises worth more £800,000, spread across 10 rooms.
Three men were also arrested on suspicion of production of cannabis.

A spokesperson for South Wales Police said: "At around 9.15am on Thursday January 28, a report was made to South Wales Police by Western Power Distribution that they believed that they had discovered a cannabis factory at a premises in Ferry Road, Grangetown, Cardiff.
"Officers attended and three men aged 27, 28 and 31 were arrested nearby on suspicion of production of cannabis. All three have been released under investigation.
"Inside the property were 10 rooms with more than 1,000 plants with an approximate street value of £800,000. Enquiries are ongoing."
A spokesperson for Western Power Distribution said: "We were made aware of several power cuts in the area over recent months, during several investigations we were unable to find any fault on our network.
"This week, police requested our attendance at the site. Some work was required to make the electrical installation safe for officers to carry out their investigation.
"We will be carrying out additional work starting next week to further reinforce the supplies in the area."
