Police bust Dunfermline pub 'breaking Covid-19 restrictions' after Scotland beat Serbia

Police stormed a Scots pub that allegedly broke Covid-19 restrictions after Scotland beat Serbia last night.

Police say The Dunfermline bar was still serving punters at 1.20am after Scotland's victory in the UEFA Euro 2020 final playoff.

A 53-year-old man was charged in connection with culpable and reckless conduct.

Police chucked customers out the Kirkgate pub and warned others not to flout the rules.

Area Commander Chief Inspector Paul Dick said: “There are currently clear regulations in place which apply to all licensed premises in the Fife area, and I would urge all landlords to adhere to them.

“Officers will be visiting licensed premises throughout Fife to check that they are operating safely, within the current guidelines and anyone who is caught breaching the rules will be held accountable.

“Anyone with information or concerns regarding a licensed premises in your area can contact Police Scotland through 101.”
