Police busted a Cardiff cannabis factory and seized more than 130 plants.

South Wales Police raided the property in Cathays on Thursday and confiscated the haul.

A 45-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of production of cannabis after 131 plants were found in six of the 10 rooms in the house.

A Western Power digger was also spotted at the scene, which was used to access the main power line to make the property safe and prevent injuries.

Images from the scene show a large number of plants in various rooms in the property.

It comes after more than 700 cannabis plants were found at another drug factory in Cardiff.

Images from Monday show a police van full of seized items alongside several officers and vehicles at the scene in Riverside.

A spokeswoman for South Wales Police said: "A large cannabis factory was discovered in a property in Brook Street on Sunday, May 2.

"The property has been made safe and more than 700 plants, and equipment, have been removed.

"Enquiries are on-going to identify those involved in the production."
