Police break up Hogmanay lockdown party after '20 revellers' are found in Scots home

A man has been arrested after '20 people' were allegedly found partying inside a Scots home on Hogmanay.

Police were called to the Houston Court flat in Renfrew at around 9.30pm on New Year's Eve after a local reported the gathering.

Officers reportedly found a large group of people inside the property.

The 20-year-old was arrested at the scene and he was charged with culpable and reckless conduct.

The alleged breach of coronavirus rules came just days before the country entered its second national lockdown.
