Police break up disturbance involving weapons in West Lothian street

Two men have been arrested after a disturbance that allegedly involved weapons on a West Lothian street.

Cops raced to the scene in the Honeyman Court area of Armadale at around 7:45pm on Monday, July 12.

The disturbance is said to have involved weapons and two men have now been charged, reports Edinburgh Live.

A picture from the scene showed a major police response at the incident as cops swarmed the area.

At least three police vans and an ambulance can be seen parked along what appears to be Drove Road.

Locals reported an armed response unit and a dog unit descended on the area.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers in Bathgate responded to a report of a disturbance involving weapons in the Honeyman Court area around 7.45pm on Monday, 12 July.

“Two men aged, 26 and 30, were arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

They appeared at Livingston Sheriff Court today.”
