Police board Jet2 flight at Glasgow Airport to remove passengers for 'disruptive behaviour'

Police were forced to board a plane at Glasgow Airport this afternoon and remove passengers for 'disruptive behaviour'.

Passengers were escorted from a Jet2 flight scheduled to depart Glasgow for Antalya in Turkey at 3.30pm.

However, the flight was delayed by almost 90 minutes because of the police presence and the plane eventually took off at 4.55pm.

A Glasgow Airport spokesperson confirmed to Glasgow Live: "Three individuals were off-loaded from the Jet2.com 3.30pm flight to Antalya due to disruptive behaviour. The flight departed at 4.55pm."

A spokesperson for Jet2 added: "Police boarded the aircraft to offload two disruptive passengers. As a family friendly airline we take a zero tolerance approach towards disruptive behaviour."

Glasgow Live have contacted Police Scotland for comment.
