Police boarded a flight which landed in Manchester from Belfast City Airport on Wednesday morning.

Greater Manchester Police said they searched six male passengers on the Aer Lingus flight under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

Upon landing, a passenger said the pilot informed passengers that police would be speaking to "a person of interest".

Police say no drugs were located and no arrests were made.

The passenger told Belfast Live: "As soon as we landed at Manchester, the pilot came on the intercom, telling us that police would be meeting the plane, and would be boarding the plane to speak to a person of interest.
