Police believe vulnerable man missing from care home could be in Edinburgh

Police have launched an appeal after a Scottish man has gone missing from a care home.

Officers are now asking the public for any information on the whereabouts of Robert Tyler, who was last seen at Millbank House in Aberdeen on Tuesday (March 30).

After being accounted for at around 9pm, the 63-year-old has not been seen or heard from since.

Known as Bob, Robert is reported to have connections to Edinburgh from the past, and has previously travelled here on public transport.

He is also believed to have connections to Glasgow.

Officers have described Robert as five foot, seven inches tall with greying, short hair and of a slim build.

Police are urging anyone with information on his whereabouts to come forward as soon as possible.

A North East Police Division spokesperson said: "Police Scotland in Aberdeen are asking for help to trace a missing person, Robert Tytler, aged 63.

"He was last seen at Millbank House in Aberdeen about 9pm, on Tuesday, March 30.

"Robert, also known as Bob, is known to have previous connections to the Edinburgh and Glasgow areas and has travelled on public transport."

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Police on 101 or via the Police Scotland website."
