Police attend Haymarket crash involving taxi, van and signpost

Emergency services are in attendance in Haymarket after a taxi and van collided with one another - causing the taxi to then crash into a signpost.

Police confirmed that they were in attendance at an incident after reports of collision between a black cab and a van on Haymarket Terrace at 4.15pm.

According to the police no one is believed to have sustained any serious injuries however an ambulance has been contacted.

The Edinburgh City Council have also been contacted due to damage to a street sign and a fuel spillage.

An eyewitness told Edinburgh Live that two police vans and a number of officers were in attendance at the incident.

Traffic is expected to be delayed in the area while the scene is cleared. Officers remain at the accident.
