Police ask 'person who has dropped their white powder' to 'collect it' from the station

Police shared a photo of drugs they have seized, alongside a tongue-in-cheek message aimed at the person who 'dropped' them.

Officers from the Leigh, Atherton and Hindley neighbourhood team of Greater Manchester Police (GMP) took to Facebook on Thursday evening (January 14) to invite the 'person who has dropped their white powder' to attend Leigh Police Station to 'collect it'.

According to police, the drugs were found in the Higher Folds area of Leigh.

Officers said they would be 'happy to help' the person that the drugs belonged to.

A GMP spokesman wrote on Facebook : "To the person who has dropped their white powder around the Higher Folds area, if you would like to collect it please attend Leigh police station.

"We will be happy to help you. #LeighNBO #LeighNeighbourhood #Drugs."
