Police ask for help in finding convicted sex offender with Mancunian accent

Police are asking for help in finding a convicted sex offender with a Mancunian accent.

Daniel Farmer, 26, is wanted by Merseyside Police for breaching his licence conditions after being released from prison.

He is said to speak with a Manchester accent and has links to the city, as well as Liverpool, Wirral, Cheshire and Carlisle.

Farmer also has a number of distinctive tattoos.

They include 'Christiana' and 'nana' on the left side of his neck, and 'Mum' on the right side of his neck.

He was released after serving a jail sentence for possessing a hammer at the Royal Liverpool hospital.

The Liverpool Echo reported that Farmer, formerly of Coleridge Street, Kensington, was captured on CCTV brandishing a claw hammer in a waiting room at the hospital.

After being released on bail, Farmer stole a £150 watch from a man at Manchester's Pride event.

He has a number of previous convictions, including for burglary, robbery and arson.

Farmer was also convicted of sexual assault, engaging in sexual activity with a girl in 2011 and inciting a girl to engage in sexual activity in February 2012.

Merseyside Police are asking people not to approach Farmer, and instead contact them on 101, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 with reference 20000380913.
