Police ask for help after man, 69, found dead near bridge on A1

A 69-year-old man has died following an incident on the A1, police have confirmed.

Emergency services attended at around 6pm on Monday June 1 following a report of a body of a man near the Millennium Bridge at Barrowby, just west of Grantham.

The road was closed for hours on Monday night while police attended the incident.

Lincolnshire Police said the man was pronounced dead at the scene and added that his next of kin are aware and officers are supporting the family at this time.

The force are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or anyone who may have dashcam footage of the area at around that time to contact them.
