Police arrest woman on suspicion of murder after man's death

Police are investigating the death of a man in Newbuildings on the outskirts of Derry.

A woman, 41, has been arrested on suspicion of murder.

Forensic officers have been pictured at a home on Primity Crescent this evening.

A police spokeswoman told Belfast Live: "Detectives from Police Service NI's Major Investigation Team have launched a murder investigation following the death of a man in a house in the New Buildings area of Derry today, Monday, 8 June.

"A 41-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder.  She remains in police custody at this time.

"There are no further details at this stage."
