A middle aged woman has been arrested following the alleged assault of a five-year-old boy dressed in a hulk suit.
Police say the 56-year-old woman was allegedly spotted attacking the boy outside of Cranleigh Medical Practice in Surrey at around 4pm on Thursday, September 2.
Surrey Police confirmed a 56-year-old woman has been arrested for occasioning actual bodily harm.
Police probing the incident are also appealing for witnesses and help in identifying a second woman in connection with the alleged assault.
A spokesman for Surrey Police said: "Inquiries are ongoing and we are still looking for witnesses to this incident to help us identify the other parties involved.
"The boy is described as white, aged between five and seven, with cropped, dark brown hair.
"He was wearing a two-piece or onesie with Marvel character The Hulk on the front and long blue sleeves.
"He was also wearing Timberland-style boots.
"The second woman in the group is described as white, wearing black trousers and a yellow short-sleeved top with ruffles over the shoulders.
"If you saw or heard anything that might assist our investigation, please contact us on 101."
