Two youths have been arrested after being found in possession of knives in Manchester this weekend.
The Greater Manchester Police Transport unit were undertaking a routine patrol at Victoria Tram Station, when they spotted a young group of males who reacted to the police presence.
Upon searching the group, two of them were found to be in possession of knives, both of them were arrested and transported to custody.

The force confirmed via a social media post that it was the units fifth arrest for possession of a knife in the last seven days.
It's illegal to carry most knives or any weapons in public without a ‘good reason’. Anyone under the age of 18 caught carrying a knife in the UK could receive a community sentence, a fine or imprisoned.
