Police arrest two more in connection with racist singing after Old Firm game

Police have arrested a further two men in connection with racist singing in Glasgow city centre.

Two men aged 20 and 23 have been arrested and charged in connection with the incident on August 29.

A group singing a racist song were witnessed walking through Glasgow city centre following the Rangers and Celtic match at Ibrox.

Police have arrested a total of eight people in connection with the incident since September 1.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A further two men, aged 20 and 23, have been arrested and charged in connection with the singing of racist material in Glasgow on Sunday, 29 August, 2021.

“The men have been released on an undertaking and are due to appear at a later date. A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
