Police charge teen accused of Logan child assault with multiple offences

A teenager charged over the assault of a six-year-old girl at Loganlea south of Brisbane will "vehemently" fight the charges against him, his lawyer says, after the accused faced a Beenleigh court today.

It is alleged 19-year-old Jackson Dodi-Musson forced his way into the home on Monday morning and removed the little girl from her bed.

Police said when the child screamed, Mr Dodi-Musson punched the girl in the face and fled.

He was last seen riding a bicycle.

It is also alleged he then robbed another house on Tuesday night, gaining access to a bedroom by cutting a flyscreen.

Mr Dodi-Musson was charged with numerous offences including indecent treatment of a child, taking of a child for immoral purposes, entering a dwelling with intent, stealing, armed robbery and burglary.

Two of the charges related to the hold up of a Morningside bottle shop on Brisbane's southside in July last year.

Detectives arrested him on Wednesday night after executing a search warrant on a house in Haig Street, Loganlea.

In court, the 19-year-old's lawyer Jon Ide said his client would be "vehemently" fighting the charges.

Mr Dodi-Musson appeared in the dock with a large black cast on his right arm, looking dejected and shook his head at supporters in the court gallery.

"I'll be OK," he mouthed to his supporters, some of whom were weeping.

Prosecutor Dave Clarke said police would apply to get scrapings from under the fingernails of the accused and said there was evidence his footprints were found at one of the crime scenes.

Mr Clarke said investigators would be collecting three or four extra witness statements.

No application for bail was made and the case was adjourned until November 8.
