A SECOND man has been arrested in connection with a shooting in Edinburgh that left another man injured, police have said.
Armed police were called to the Hailesland Gardens area of the capital following reports of a firearm being discharged at around 3.40pm on Thursday, July 24.
A 23-year-old man was taken to hospital and was treated for serious injuries sustained to his arm in the incident.
Police confirmed on Tuesday that a 25-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident.
A 36-year-old man was also previously arrested in connection last week but has since been released.
Police said enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A 25-year-old man has been arrested following an investigation into the discharge of a firearm in [[Edinburgh]].
“The incident occurred on Thursday, 24 July, 2025 on Hailesland Gardens, Edinburgh around 3.40pm.
“A 23-year-old man attended hospital for treatment to injuries sustained to his arm from the incident.
“Enquiries remain ongoing.”
