Police arrest man and woman on suspicion of selling Class A drugs

Merseyside Police have made two arrests in connection with suspected drug supply offences.

The South Sefton officers taking part in drugs crackdown Operation Pelican apprehended a 49-year-old male and 37-year-old female and seized a quantity of suspected cocaine wraps and an allegedly stolen scrambler bike.

The two arrests were made in addition to an arrest of a 22-year-old Bootle man on suspicion of growing Class B drug cannabis.

Merseyside Police tweeted: "Operation Pelican Officers continued after tonight's earlier arrest with two further arrests of a 49-year-old male and a 37-year-old female for Drug Supply Offences. Officers have seized numerous wraps of suspected cocaine and a suspected stolen scrambler bike."

People are reminded to dial 999 in an emergency, or otherwise contact police on the 101 non-emergency number.
