Police arrest man after serious sex assault in Paisley

Cops have arrested a 40-year-old man in connection with a serious sexual assault in Paisley.

Detectives swooped after reports of an attack off Brediland Road in Foxbar on Wednesday night.

Photos emerged of officers sealing off the scene and combing the area for clues.

Detective Inspector Colin MacRitchie of Paisley CID said: "We would like to thank all the members of the public who have assisted with our enquiries so far."
