Police arrest man after abduction of 12-year-old girl in Hunslet

Officers investigating the abduction of a 12-year-old girl in Leeds have now arrested a man.

The 18-year-old, from Leeds, was arrested yesterday (Monday 30) in connection with the incident in Old Run Road, Hunslet, last Tuesday (April 23).

UPDATE: Police have now charged a man in connection with this incident

The girl was walking to school at the time, and then managed to escape.

The man arrested by West Yorkshire Police remains in custody and enquiries are ongoing.

His arrest follows a public appeal for information.
