Police arrest eight over SA drug crop

South Australian police have discovered a cannabis crop during a search of an Adelaide property. (AAP)

Eight people have been arrested over a large cannabis crop in Adelaide's north.

Police on Tuesday conducted a search of a property at Buckland Park, locating a signficant number of cannabis plants of varying sizes growing hydroponically in glasshouses.

A large amount of dried cannabis was also seized.

Those arrested as they tried to run from the property were five men aged between 28 and 52 and three women aged between 49 and 66.

Detectives from the Serious and Organised Crime Branch are continuing to investigate the crop.
