Police arrest driver near shopping centre after she tests positive for cannabis and cocaine

Police Scotland have arrested a female driver after she failed a roadside drugs test on Friday night.

A Road Police Glasgow patrol spotted a motorist driving erratically near the Silverburn Shopping centre in Glasgow.

Police administered a drug wipe and she tested positively for cocaine and cannabis.

The driver has been arrested for driving whilst under the influence of drugs and faces a ban and a fine.

Police Scotland tweeted at 10.58pm: "This evening officers from #RPGlasgow had cause to stop a female driver near to Silverburn shopping Glasgow due to erratic driving.

"The driver subsequently failed the roadside drug wipe and was arrested. #festivewinterdrinkdrugcampaign #drugdriver"
