Police are searching for a missing man with learning difficulties last seen in Bolton

Police are appealing for help to find a missing man with learning difficulties.

Anthony Tonge was last seen leaving Maxton House care home on Bridgewater Street in Farnworth, Bolton, at around 3.30pm on Saturday.

The 57-year-old has some learning difficulties.

He also has poor mobility as a result of a stroke, which causes him to walk on his toes.

Anthony is described as white, 5'5" tall with receding brown/grey hair and a thick brown moustache.

He was last seen wearing a plain red t-shirt and blue jeans.

He went out on his bike which was black in appearance.

In a post on the GMP Bolton South Facebook page, officers said they are becoming 'increasingly concerned' for Anthony and want to make sure he is safe and well.

Anyone with information about Anthony's whereabouts is asked to contact police on 0161 856 5619.
