Police are hunting a wanted man who escaped from custody this morning

Police are hunting a wanted man after he escaped from custody on Tuesday morning.

Jack Hubbersty was last seen on Lancaster Road in Salford at around 6am.

Officers searching for the 21-year-old say they are concerned for his welfare and are urging anyone who sees him or knows where he is to get in touch immediately via 999.

Hubbersty's photo has been circulated on several GMP social media accounts.

He is described as having been wearing a blue top, black shorts, compression socks and no shoes.

GMP Salford posted on its Facebook page: "We are currently looking for Jack Hubbersty (23/03/1998) who has absconded lawful custody.

"We are concerned for his welfare, he was last seen around the Lancaster Road area of Salford at 6am and is wearing a blue top, black shorts, compression socks and no shoes."

Anyone who knows of his whereabouts is asked to contact police on 999 quoting reference 3327 of September 30.
