

Queensland Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information following reports of a sexual assault at a popular Rockhampton walking track on Sunday morning.
According to police, at about 10.30am, a woman was sexually assaulted by an unknown man while she was walking at Yeppen Lagoon.
The incident was reported to police at 11 am, and the woman was taken to the hospital, where she received medical treatment and professional support.
Authorities have since established a crime scene at the north of Yeppen’s Lagoon, near the walking track and the rugby field’s car park.
Investigators are urging anyone who may have been walking on the track before or after 10.30am, or who was near the area during this time, to contact police immediately.
Police are currently conducting proactive patrols of the area as investigations into the incident continue.
