Police appealing for help to trace wanted man

Police are appealing for help to trace a wanted man following an assault on a woman and a burglary in Moston.

Connor Hayes, 27, is from Harpurhey and also has links to Moston and New Moston.

Police say he is wanted in connection with a burglary that took place on Rudd Street, in Moston, on Wednesday, September 7.

He's also wanted in relation to an assault on a woman that happened on Monday, May 5, at a house in Moston.

Hayes also failed to appear at Manchester Magistrates Court on Thursday, May 16, for a previous assault.

Police are now asking for the public's help to trace him.

A GMP spokesperson said: "Police are appealing for the public’s help to trace a wanted man from Harpurhey.

"Connor Hayes is wanted in connection with a burglary on Rudd Street, Moston on Wednesday 7 September 2019 and an assault on a woman on Monday 6 May 2019 at a property in Moston.

"Hayes is also wanted for failing to appear at Manchester Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 16 May 2019 for a previous assault.

"He is known to have links to the Harpurhey, Moston and New Moston areas of Greater Manchester.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Connor Hayes is asked to contact police on 0161 856 5883.
