Police appeal to trace owner of jet ski seen speeding along Salford canal

Police are asking for help in tracing the owner of a jet ski seen speeding along a Salford canal earlier this week.

Video footage captured the jet ski zooming down Bridgewater Canal on Friday, May 15.

Officers say it was causing distress to local wildlife and also disturbing nearby walkers. They are now appealing for any information to help track down the owner.

In a post, GMP Swinton and Little Hulton said: “I have had a couple of reports of a jet ski on the canal at speed causing a disturbance to walkers and distress to wildlife.

“Unlike cars, we can't trace the jet ski through a reg number so if anyone has any idea who they may be please let me know via a DM (marked FAO Sgt Livesey) or if you have any images of them.”
