Police appeal to trace missing festival-goer Cathryn

UPDATE: Dyfed-Powys Police confirmed on Monday afternoon that Cathryn has been found safe and well.

An appeal has been issued to help trace a missing festival-goer.

The woman, named only as Cathryn, was last seen at around 2pm yesterday (Sunday) in Swansea.

The last sighting of her was near flats in Swansea Marina.

But Cathryn, who is 42 and from the Llandysul area of Ceredigion, has gone missing after failing to turn up to an arranged meeting with family members yesterday afternoon.

And police issued an appeal to the public to help find her on Twitter early this morning (Monday)

The Heddlu Dyfed-Powys Twitter account wrote: "Can you help us find Cathryn?

"Last seen around 2pm yesterday (Sunday) near flats in Swansea Marina. She was supposed to meet up with family yesterday afternoon but never arrived. Did you see her?"

The tweet described Cathryn as being 42, white, with glasses and shoulder length blonde hair.

It included a picture of the missing woman and added: "She was dressed to attend a festival, wearing the clothes pictured here: a sheer green embroidered dress, with a black bra top and hot-pants underneath, back necklace, pearl bracelet and black hat."

Officers directed anyone with any information about Cathryn to contact them through their missing persons reporting site, by dialling 101 or emailing 101@dyfed-powys.pnn.police.uk.
