Police appeal to trace missing 80-year-old man from Wythenshawe

Police have appealed for the public's help in tracing an 80-year-old Wythenshawe man who has gone missing.

William Doyle was last seen in Manchester city centre at around 7.45pm on Wednesday (July 21).

He is described as wearing a cap, tweed jacket, red T-shirt, blue or black trousers and black shiny shoes.

He is driving a light blue Fiat Panda.

Greater Manchester Police say they are becoming "increasingly concerned" about Mr Doyle, and "want to make sure he is safe and well".

The force added in a Facebook post: "He may be confused and may not have any cash or water with him."

Anyone with information as to Mr Doyle's whereabouts is urged to contact Greater Manchester Police on 0161 856 6149 or use the police live chat facility at https://crowd.in/KbP45e.

Alternatively, the public can contact police on the non-emergency number 101.
