Police appeal to trace Gateshead woman who served five-and-a-half years for violent assault

Police are appealing for help from the public to locate a Gateshead woman wanted on a prison recall.

Elaine Stacey Donald, also known as Elaine Rutley, is wanted on an emergency prison recall after breaching the terms of her licence.

The 25-year-old had served five-and-a-half years in prison for a violent assault but was released in November last year.

However, she failed to attend appointments meaning she was in breach of the terms of her licence and has been avoiding police.

Officers from Northumbria Police continue to carry out enquiries to locate her but now they are asking for help from the public.

Donald is from Swalwell and it is believed she could be staying in that area of Gateshead.

Anyone who has seen Donald, or knows her whereabouts, is asked to contact police on 101 quoting log 864 09/05/19 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
