Police Scotland have launched an appeal to trace the owner of a unique gold watch allegedly stolen in Hamilton.
The timepiece was recovered along with other goods said to be worth more than £700 during enquiries carried out by local officers.
It was found after a 29-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with a theft from a vehicle and attempted thefts from various others in Montrose Crescent in Hamilton.
The man was due to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court earlier this month.
Police say the watch in question has "very specific engravings" as they search for its owner.
A spokesperson said: "About 00.50am on October 1, officers arrested and charged a 29-year-old-man in connection with a theft from a vehicle and attempted thefts from various others in Montrose Crescent, Hamilton.
"He was due to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court on October 4.
"Since then, extensive enquiries have been carried out by officers from Hamilton’s Local Policing Team and the Divisional Alcohol and Violence Reduction Unit.
"Goods in excess of £700 have been recovered and the man has subsequently been charged with a number of other theft related offences across the Hamilton area.
"During enquiries officers have recovered this unique gold coloured watch which has very specific engravings. We would like to reunite this watch with its rightful owner.
