Police appeal to parents over anti-social behaviour by youths in Newtownabbey

Police in Newtownabbey are appealing to parents to know the whereabouts of their children after reports of anti-social behaviour.

The PSNI said they had received information last night that an organised fight between large groups of youths was to take place in V36 playing fields on.

It is unclear at this stage if any such incident took place.

A police spokesperson said: "We are asking parents to keep track of the whereabouts of their children.

"Police have received multiple calls for service relating to anti social behaviour in that area.

"We do not want to see any young person injured or end up with a criminal record."
