A man reported missing from the Lake Macquarie area has been found safe and well.
The 72-year-old was last seen about 1.30pm, Monday, in Garden Suburb.
The man was reported missing to officers from Lake Macquarie Police District on Monday evening after he failed to return home and a search was commenced.
Following extensive inquiries, and a plea for public assistance by Lake Macquarie Police District, the man was found at about 6.50am, Tuesday, at New Lambton.
Police would like to thank the local community for their assistance in sharing the information.
