Police appeal to identify confused woman found in Poundland in Stockport

Police are asking for help to identify a confused woman who was found in a Poundland store in Stockport.

The woman, who is in her 50s or 60s, is unable to tell officers who she is, a post on the GMP Stockport Facebook page said.

She is described as around 4ft 10ins tall, the status said.

Her hair, which is shoulder-length, is grey with slight ginger tinges.

She's wearing black shoes, black trousers, a red duffle coat and has glasses.

The post, put up at 11.30am by Sgt Lowe, said: "I am currently dealing with an incident in Poundland in Stockport and I need your help.

"We have found a lady who is confused and is unable to tell us any details of who she is."

In a comment on the post, Sgt Lowe said staff at Poundland have been 'great' and have given her a brew.

He said an ambulance has been called to help the woman.

Anyone with any information is asked to comment on the post, which will be monitored, Sgt Lowe said.

Alternatively, reports can be made to police on 101.
