A suspected kidnapper is among 18 of Scotland Yard’s most wanted to be named and shamed on the side of vans to be driven across London.

Abukar Abukar, 27, of Havering, is sought by police over an offence in Romford this August.

Police are also asking for information on the whereabouts of alleged robbers Desharn Flynn-Koroma, 19, of Catford, and Joell Morley, 22, from Tower Hamlets.

Jordan Cowley, 24, of Feltham, is wanted for suspected drugs offences.

Elhaj Diarranssouba, 22, also from Catford, and Ladie Girre, 24, of Hounslow are accused of grievous bodily harm.

The oldest of the most wanted bunch is 63-year Kerol Farquharson, of Canary Wharf, who police want to speak to about burglary.

Scotland Yard today launched #WantedWednesday to tackling violent crime, displaying the wanted offenders on the side of vans which officers plan to drive across the capital.

Detective Chief Superintendent Lee Hill, head of the Met’s Violent Crime Taskforce, said: “We are asking the public to be additional eyes and ears to help us locate people we need to speak to in connection with a number of serious offences.

“We often get asked by the public how they can help keep their communities safe, and providing information such as this is enormously helpful both in preventing and detecting crime.

“People shouldn’t just view it as “helping the police”, you are directly helping your communities and the wider London community."

He added: “Violence, drugs and other crimes, such as robbery, are of great concern to the communities of London, so we are committed to tackling them robustly and pursuing those we suspect to be involved in causing harm and attempting to evade justice. Help us to keep London safe.

“One phone call could help potentially solve or even prevent a crime from happening.”

Anyone with information should call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. If a suspect is seen, please dial 999 from a place where you cannot be overheard.
