Police appeal to find man wanted on warrant

POLICE are seeking help from the public to find a man wanted on an outstanding warrant for an assault offence.

Port Stephens-Hunter police issued the plea to find Jason Soars, 50, as they conduct inquiries into his whereabouts.

Mr Soars is described as of Caucasian appearance, between 185cm to 195cm tall, with a medium build, brown hair and green/hazel eyes.

Anyone who has seen him or may know his whereabouts is urged to call Triple Zero immediately and not to approach him.

Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
