Police appeal to find man wanted on recall to prison with links to Manchester

Police are hunting a man wanted on recall to prison.

Martane Butler, 19, is wanted on recall after breaching his licence conditions.

Officers say he may be in the Manchester area.

He also has links to Bootle, Wavertree, Anfield and Old Swan in Liverpool, as well as New Ferry on Wirral, Blackburn, North Wales and Staffordshire.

Butler is described as white and approximately 5ft 11in tall, with light brown wavy hair and blue eyes.

He speaks with a Liverpool accent.

Members of the public have been warned not approach Butler if he is seen, but to call 999 immediately.

A spokesperson from Merseyside Police said: "Recognise this man? 19-year-old Martane Butler is wanted on a recall to prison after breaching his licence conditions.



"Butler is white, 5ft 11in tall, with light brown wavy hair, blue eyes, and speaks with a Liverpool accent.

"He has links to Bootle, Wavertree, Anfield and Old Swan in Liverpool, as well as New Ferry on Wirral, Blackburn in Lancashire, Manchester, North Wales and Staffordshire.

"If you see Butler, please do not approach him but call 999.

"Other information on his whereabouts can be passed on via @MerPolCC or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
