POLICE are seeking public help to find a man wanted after his parole for an assault offence was revoked.

Newcastle police on Thursday made a public appeal for help to find Kalib Toko, 21. Mr Toko is known to frequent the Hunter, Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, the Central Coast and western Sydney.

He is described as being of Pacific Islander appearance, between 190cm to 195cm tall, with a medium build, brown hair and brown eyes.

Mr Toko was among nine people charged when they were allegedly found with weapons after a reported home invasion in Valentine.

The group was arrested after an alleged attempted armed home invasion at Berringar Road about 12.30am on a Saturday in May 2019.

Soon after, police allegedly found the group in two cars at Tallawalla Road - one street away - in possession of a shotgun and several baseball bats.

In June last year Mr Toko was sentenced to three years in prison for using an offensive weapon in company. He was due for release on parole on New Year's Eve last year.
