Police appeal for witnesses over reports of 2 people having sex in churchyard

Police are appealing for witnesses after reports of two people having sex in a Nottinghamshire churchyard.

The incident is believed to have happened at around 5.30pm on Thursday, May 7, in St Mary Magdalene’s churchyard in Church Street, Sutton-in-Ashfield.

And now police are asking anyone who may have "directly witnessed" the incident to contact them.

Ashfield District Commander, Inspector Mark Dickson, said: “Nottinghamshire Police will not tolerate behaviour like this.

"I would urge anyone with information that will help identify those involved to contact us.

"We are especially keen to speak with anyone who directly witnessed the incident.”

If you saw what happened, you should call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 244 of 11 May 2020.
