Police appeal for witnesses after three men injured in horror West Lothian crash

Police are appealing for witnesses to a horror West Lothian crash which left three men in hospital.

Officers raced to the scene on the B7066 Polkemmet Road, Whitburn, at around 1.20pm on Friday.

The road was closed for around six hours after a black Subaru Impreza and an Audi Q2 smashed into each other.

A 59-year-old man was airlifted to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital after suffering serious injuries in the collision.

A further two men, both aged 31, were taken to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for treatment and have since been released.

Sergeant Stephen Quinn, of Lothians Road Policing, said: “This was a serious collision and we are looking for anybody who was driving on the road or witnessed the incident to contact police.

“In particular, if there were any vehicles in the area at the time that may have dashcam footage that could help officers, or anyone in the area with CCTV footage, I would ask that you get in touch.”
