Police appeal for witnesses after man punched in face multiple times on train at Leeds station

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was punched in the face multiple times on-board a train at Leeds station.

The attack happened at 11.15pm on Tuesday, March 26 while the Leeds to Ilkley service was waiting to leave platform 2C.

Members of the public removed the suspect from the train and he then left the station building.

British Transport Police have released a CCTV image of a man they believe may be able to help with their investigation.

Anyone who recognises him is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40 and quoting reference number 1900024294.

Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
