Police in Aberdeenshire are appealing for witnesses following a two-vehicle smash near Pitullie in Fraserburgh.

The smash, which involved a small white van and a white moped, took place at around 1pm on Tuesday, August 3, on the B9031 between Sandhaven and Rosehearty near to Pitullie.

The rider of the moped was knocked off and sustained minor injuries as a result.

Officers are asking for anyone who might have witnessed the crash or have dash cam footage of the incident to get in touch with them.

Constable Morrison of Fraserburgh Community Police Office said: “We are appealing for information and urge anyone who witnessed the collision but has not yet spoken to Police to come forward.

“We are also keen to speak to anyone who may have been travelling on the B9031 between Sandhaven and Rosehearty around the time of the collision with a dash camera or who saw the small white van or moped to contact Police as they may be able to help with our investigation.”

He added that anyone with information should call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident reference number 1141 of Tuesday 3 June 2021, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
